Coastal Study I captures the strange history of a piece of cliff side in San Pedro, California. Locals call it Sunken City. Once a residential neighborhood with ocean views now an unofficial tourist attraction for “urban explorers”: A neighborhood that sunk into the sea. Coastle Study l tells the unique history of Sunken City with newspaper clippings dating back to the mid 1920s. Recent photographs stand in contrast, make new connections and sometimes show strange parallels between now and then.
