MARINA DEL PEDRO

In 2018 I had the chance to curate Marina del Pedro at Angels Gate Cultural Center. The exhibition’s backbone was a photo/video/art class I had the opportunity to teach at the Los Angels Harbor Boys & Girls Club. Artworks from Angels Gate Cultural Center studio artists and members of the community as well as ephemera by the San Pedro Bay Historical Society turned Marina del Pedro into a giant community archive. A big Thank You goes to Daniel Porras, artist and teacher, who always moved the art classes forward in unexpected ways. This exhibit was supported by the Port of Los Angeles through the Port Community Investment Grant.
